Liturgical Ministries

Because of people being away for the summer and vacations, please note the scheduling for the months of July and August you’ll see the change of number of Ministers and Altar Servers per Mass.

Eucharistic Minister only two per Mass

Hospitality only one per Mass (this means that you have to get all four collectors for Mass and a family to bring up the gifts and hand out the bulletins).

Altar Servers only two per Mass (If you are unable to come to your scheduled Mass please call someone to take your place)

Also, when you are at Mass please check in with Father Michael to see if he needs your service. If you are interested in serving in a ministry, please let Father Michael or one of our deacons know! We need more ministers, especially in the summer months.

Led by His Light,
We are One in Spirit and Service

The Worship Ministry assists the prayer life of the parish, both public and private.

Altar Servers

Altar Servers assist the Celebrant at Mass. Training is required.

Lectors

Lector: a reader, as of lectures in a college, or university or of scriptural lessons.

That is the definition you’ll find in the dictionary, but a Lector is more than a reader. A lector PROCLAIMS the Word of the Lord. A Lector is an integral part of the Mass.

Ministers of Hospitality

Quite often the first person a new parishioner may meet is the Hospitality Minister at the door who gives them a warm hello and welcomes them to our parish.

This is what the Hospitality Ministry is all about – greeting and welcoming all whom come through our doors. It’s not a hard job, but it certainly is an appreciated one.

Anyone, whether singles or as a family, is invited to join the hospitality team. You would be asked to welcome people at our masses, pass out parish bulletins, recruit collectors or gift bearers for the Mass and try to answer any questions that parishioners or guests may have.

Music Ministry

The Music Ministry at St. Patrick’s invites you to share your musical talents with the parish.

The Choir consists of a dedicated group of singers who commit to one rehearsal per week and generally sing at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Mass and at special liturgical celebrations (Christmas, Holy Week, Easter, Confirmation, etc.).

Special Ministers of the Eucharist

Eucharistic Ministers apply to the Pastor. Trained Eucharistic Ministers assist in the distribution of Holy Communion at Mass and in taking Communion to the sick.
